We all know how much junk email and viruses ruin your Internet experience and Cybershore has in the past taken steps to try to prevent these annoyances from getting to you. No filtering or anti-virus software is 100% but, the new Sentry service should provide you with some of the most powerful tools to prevent SPAM and viruses from getting to your computer.

This system allows you to manage email delivered to your Inbox.
In most cases, you do not need to do anything!

Everyday you will receive a report of the email that is suspected of being spam and not delivered to your mailbox. Review that report if you feel you are not getting "good" email sent to you. If a good email was blocked, just click the "Whitelist" link and any email from that person will go directly to your inbox from then on. It's really quite easy.

Our system bounces the message to the sender with a very clear message explaining the reason, the email even lists Cybershore's phone number so they may contact us for assistance.

The Sentry SPAMTRAP is a server, setup to work at Cybershore for the purpose of increasing our level of resolution to fight SPAM (unwanted, unsolicited emails). This unit screens all incoming email destined to our customers email inboxes, and checks it for viruses, worms, and SPAM oriented email before it even gets to the customer's inbox. Check out this graphical stat.

The Sentry server is strategically placed between the Internet and the mail server. In this way, it is able to screen out SPAM related email and dispose of it without bothering the email server. Since the sentry unit is a highly specialized and dedicated equipment solely designed for this purpose, it is an extremely efficient machine that is helping organizations of all sorts to eliminate a high percentage of spam related email.

SPAMTRAP
If you would like to, you can always log into the management page, http://spamtrap.cshore.com

(We tried to get your email password in their by default but, if it does not work, just type your email address in the user field and click the "Create New Password" button. Within a minute or two a new password will be sent to your email address. This does NOT change your email password, only the Sentry password.)

Once logged in you you will be presented your Quarantine page. This page presents the same information as received in your email notification.

Note to Hosting customers with Sentry Service!
Q: I host my website with Cybershore and when I try to log into the Sentry, it tells me wrong password. I am entering my regular email password, am I missing something?

A: There is no synchronization occurring between your regular email (i.e. username@mydomain.com) account password, and the password to the Sentry unit. In other words, they are two separate accounts.

Cybershore does not have access to your sentry password. If you have never logged into sentry or have forgotten your password you will need to reset your account. To do this enter your full email address in the "UserName" field, click the "Create New Password" button, then check your email for a message from the Sentry unit with your password. After you log into the Sentry you many change your password.

IMPORTANT: This will not change your regular email password; you do not have to change your email settings.

Q: I have received a "Summary" of quarantined and blocked emails from the Sentry. What now?

A: The Sentry unit will create this "Summary" of quarantined emails and send it to your email address. Within the "Summary" email you will notice a convenient link for you automatically log directly into sentry with out having to enter in all your login information. This link was created by sentry for your convenience and has an expiration of 24HR's. If your link has expired you will need to log in manually.
While logged into the Sentry you may verify each email you received and then decide if, a message is to be blocked, allowed to enter your email inbox, or even put it on your white list. And that's not all the features, either!

Whitelist email addresses or domains that need to get to you if they are being blocked.
Blacklist email addresses or domains that you feel have no business emailing you.
